Mission Statement
The mission of Sunray ISD,
through cooperation of community member, parents and a well-trained staff, is to
provide to all children of this district an excellent education in a safe
environment, graduating motivated life-long learners.
District Vision Statement
The Sunray Independent School District, which consists of the
board of trustees, administration, faculty, staff, students, parents, and community, are committed to creating a school that is better in some meaningful
and measurable ways than the
school that we currently have today. In support of that commitment, the Sunray ISD desires to
create a school in which:
- Communication is open on all levels and does take place.
- There is a safe, well-maintained, disciplined atmosphere conductive to learning.
- There is a strong academic program with education of all students as the #1 priority.
- Parents, school and students work toward shared goals as true partners.
- All state standards are being exceeded.
- Teamwork and positive attitude permeate the entire school.
- All children successfully update and improve their teaching skills.
- There is strong leadership.
- There is a mission that is shared and acknowledged.
- The primary concern of the staff is students and their success.
- All programs are evaluated to show if all participants are successful and/or improving
in all curricular, co-curricular, and extra-curricular activities in which they participate.
- Students are prepared for the adult challenges of the real world - work and college.
- The staff, parents, and students are focused on the same goal of helping students to become self-disciplined, productive adults.
