Theatre production is a credit earned through participation in the UIL One Act Play.
These rehearsals are held before or after school, in the evenings, and occasionally on a week-ends.
In the last ten years our OAP has advanced to state once, advanced to regional four times, and been the alternate to regional five other times.

Drama Club
The Drama Club was organized in 1997 so that students with scheduling conflicts who were unable to be in theatre class could participate in theatre training and shows. The Drama Club hosts a dinner theatre every year in the fall.
The group also has regular meetings until OAP season begins and has discussed the possibility of organizing a traveling troupe of entertainers for performing shows in nursing homes or elementary schools.
Both the One Act Play and the Drama Club are guided and directed by Paula Meller, the High School English, Spanish, and Theatre teacher.
