Be in grades 10-12
Have a cumulative average of at least 90
Receive approval from at least 75% of the faculty to become a member and to retain membership.
Continued membership:
Earn 20 service points per year.
Members shall be reviewed annually for continued membership. The review shall be based upon the member meeting the criterion of leadership, service and character during the previous year.
Membership will continue with an approval rate of 75%. Should approval fall below 75%, the member will be considered an inactive member of the Beta Club for a period of one semester. The member will be reviewed for reactivation at the beginning of the next semester.

If his/her scholastic record falls below the 90.0 average. The member will be given one semester to get their average back to 90.0 or higher. If after one semester, they have not raised their average to the standard, then they will be dismissed from the Beta Club and will lose eligibility to join again.

If a member fails to receive a 75%
approval on their annual review.

Student clubs and performing groups such as the Pep Club, FFA, National Beta Club, Cheerleading, and athletic teams may establish codes of conduct--and consequences for misbehavior--that are stricter than those for students in general. If a violation is also a violation of school rules, the consequences specified by the school will apply in addition to any consequences specified by the organization.
The Higgins School feels that membership in group organizations can provide many beneficial experiences for the student. Class and club organizations promote a better understanding of group work, help students acquire a knowledge of parliamentary procedure, give practical experience in group activities and help students learn to achieve common goals by working together with others. All class and club organizations are sponsored by qualified teachers, who help provide guidance and leadership to the group. The following are organizations within the Higgins School:
