At the district meet, Kailee, Brook, Kelby, and Shandy placed 2nd in the 400 meter relay.  Kailee also placed 2nd in the 400 meter dash. Brook tied for 4th in the high jump and placed 5th in the 100 meter hurdles.  Haley placed 1st in the high jump, second in the 100 meter dash, first in 100 meter hurdles, and 4th in the 300 meter hurdles.  Lauryn placed 4th in the 800 meter run.  Kelby also placed 3rd in the high jump, 4th in the long jump, and 3rd in the 800 meter run.  Shandy also placed 1stin the run and 2nd in the 2400 meter run.  Overall, the junior high girls took 2nd in the district track meet, although the other teams had quite a few more girls on their teams.

The 7 members of the High School varsity track teams also had a successful season.  Freshman, Brandon, showed excellent potential in the 1600 meter run, placing 1st in 3 track meets.  Sophomore, Brayden, did well in the 400 meter dash although he didn't run his freshman year and started the season late, running in only 2 meets because of his involvement in other activities.  Sophomore, Seth, in his 1st year of high school track, also did very well.  Winning second in district in the 800 meter run and narrowly missing qualifying for the regional meet in the event, placing 5th at the area meet.  Sophomore, Jaci, continued her winning ways, qualifying for the area track meet in both the 300 meter hurdles and the 800 meter run, then qualifying for the regional meet in the 800, where she got7th out of 16 very strong competitors.  Junior, Derek, in his 1st year of high school track, was showing steady, promising improvement in the 400 meter dash , but was injures and didn't get to run in the district meet.  Junior, Eli, also in his first year of high school track, placed in the top 3 or 4 in the 100 and 200 meter dashes in several meets and qualified for the area meet in the 200 meter dash. Junior, Carmen, had an excellent year, placing 1st in district in both the 1600 meter run and the 3200 meter run.  Then, in the 3200 meter run she qualified for regional where she, like Jaci, ran her best time, placing 11th out of 16 very tough competitors.
