Everyone did very well. Skyler, Lauryn, Andy, Haley, Julie, and Roper ran in their first race this year. Haley ran a super race, placing 6 in a very large JV girls division with runners from all size of schools, including 5A schools like Pampa and Tascosa. Jaci, Carmen, and Ruth Anne all improved on their times from the Borger meet significantly. Jaci placed 7th in a very large and tough varsity girls division with 143 runners from 1A, 2A, and 3A schools like Tulia and Borger. Conditions for the earlier races were ideal cool with no wind; but a strong wind was blowing during the varsity boys race, slowing their times down. Nevertheless, the varsity boys did well in a very tough division, with excellent team from Sunray, Boys Ranch, Borger, and Tulia---none of them finished anywhere near the back of the pack of 120 runners.
