At the end of this lesson students will be able to:
1. Explain how a chart can enhance and simplify the understanding of
numerical data in a worksheet.
2. Identify the different chart objects.
3. Create pie, bar, and line charts.
4. Identify various other types of charts that can be created.
5. Move, size, and delete charts.
6. Print a chart.
7. Copy a chart object into a Word document.

Vocabulary to know:
Category axis   The horizontal axis that contains category labels.
Category labels   Text displayed on the x-axis.
Chart   A visual representation of worksheet data.
Chart Area   The blank portion of a chart.
Chart title   Describes what is charted.
Column chart   Data graphed as a series of vertical bars.
Data labels   Labels that identify each value in the data series.
Data series   A set of related numerical data plotted on a chart.
Horizontal axis   See Category axis.
Horizontal axis label   Category labels displayed on the horizontal axis of a chart.
Legend   Corresponds to the category labels in a pie chart and series names in other chart types.
Line chart   Data graphed using a continuous line.
Pie chart   Data graphed as slices of a circular pie.
Plot Area   The part of the chart that displays data.
Series name   The label that identifies the data series.
Slice   Part of a pie chart that represents one value from the series.
Static   Pasted data that will not automatically change if the source worksheet does.
Value axis   The vertical axis that contains values.
Vertical axis   See Value axis.
Vertical axis labels   Labels calculated by Excel based on the maximum value in the data and displayed on the vertical axis of a chart.
