There is a young colt named black beauty. When he was four years old
he had went in to breaking in. Beauty's master started with the bridle
and saddle with him. When he got use to that the master started riding
him around the meadow. Then, they went to the blacksmith to put the iron
shoes on Beauty. Then he went to the horse fair and got sold to squire
Gordon he meet a chestnut mare named Ginger who had a bad temper.In the
next stall there was a miniature pony named Merrylegs who let the squire
Gordon's little girls ride him. Sometimes he pulled the mistress in a
small carriage. Then he told Beauty the story about Ginger's bad temper.
Then one night ruben drank a little to much and Beauty's shoe was coming
loose and the blacksmith asked ruben if he wanted to fix the shoe. Ruben
said no. So he got on Beauty and ran him as fast Beauty could go. The
shoe was coming looser and looser until it completely off. Then one night
there was fire in the stable. and Joe Green came in and got him. After
a while he ended up with three elderly ladies and Joe recognized Black
Beauty.  |
